Registration: Full day/multi-day training (events with more than 5 hours of presenter time) - Early Bird registration is encouraged as numbers are capped for each training event and events can and do sell out. Early Bird registrations pay 10% less of the Full Rate registration fee and are only available 5-6 weeks before the event. Full Rate ticket prices become activated 5-6 weeks leading in to an event.

Short courses (2 to 3 hour training events) - No Early Bird tickets are available.

An event will only run if a minimum of 20 registrants are met. Registration fees includes workbook, certificate of attendance, lunch, morning and afternoon tea (for in-person training). Registrations are open until 1 week prior to the event date or until ‘sold out’.

Registration Instructions and Payment: To streamline the registration process, registration is completed via Humanitix. Click on the 'Register Here' button above to be taken to Humanitix website and follow the instructions to secure your spot. Humanitix accepts credit card/debit card payments and charges an online payment processing fee for each ticket sold. Unfortunately, payment by direct bank transfer is no longer an option. Once registration and payment is completed, a confirmation email and an invoice will be automatically generated by Humanitix. A reminder email will be sent to workshop attendees 1-2 weeks before the event. Final year SLT students wishing to register for an event will need to have their Student ID with them on the day of the event and type in the name of their university in the 'Company/Organisation' field on the registration form.

Venue for “In-Person” Events: Parnell Community Centre sits within a complex of buildings known as the Foundation Precinct, which is bounded by Parnell Road, George Street and Titoki Streets. It has 27 assigned car parks within the Foundation Precinct area. These are clearly marked "Jubilee Building". Parking is only for visitors to the Community Centre, including those attending functions in the Jubilee Building. For more information click here.

Supervision and Hosting CPD

Skill Builders is able to supervise/mentor New Zealand ‘new graduate’ clinicians with basic clinical skills training in the areas of speech, literacy and stuttering. 1:1 clinical supervision/mentoring is charged at $135 per hour (GST not included). Group supervision/mentoring for New Zealand clinicians is also available for those who want regular supervision but at a shared cost of $200 per hour (maximum of two supervisees, GST not included). Overseas clinicians seeking clinical supervision will be charged at $155 per hour (no NZ GST).

As well as up-skilling new graduate and less experienced clinicians, Skill Builders is committed to offering speech language therapists with professional development training to ensure that practising clinicians continue to update and extend their professional knowledge. Skill Builders will host expert presenters from New Zealand and overseas and will happily arrange training in other areas upon request.
